Unit Objectives:
  • Identify a relation as a function from a set of points, table, or graph.
  • Determine the domain and range of a function from a table or graph.
  • Use function notation when evaluating a function given as a table, graph, or equation.
  • Determine the equation of a linear function using function notation.
  • Describe the graph of non-linear functions in terms of maxima/minima, roots, continuity, limits.
  • Describe the graph of non-linear functions in terms of increasing/decreasing/constant intervals and rate of change over a given interval.
  • Describe how the graphical model of a nonlinear function represents a given problem.
