Art 104 Faculty: Sharon Trumbull | Kim
Anderson | Olin Yoder
Sharon Trumbull was born in San Diego, California. She received
her Bachelor of Fine Art from the University of Delaware. With
experience as a designer and free-lance illustrator, she also
taught drawing. She received her MFA from the University of Maryland,
earning the Daniel Nicholson Ohlke Memorial Fund Award for 1998-99.
Prior to becoming a full-time member of the art faculty at CCBC,
Ms. Trumbull was the director of CP ArtSpace, a gallery in Washington,
D.C. She teaches drawing, painting, watercolor, pastel and art
theory, as well as workshops in mixed media and portraiture.
Sharon Trumbull works in oil paint, acrylic and pastel. She uses
figurative imagery to explore the effects of light and psychological
themes. The artist regularly exhibits her paintings and is represented
in corporate and private collections in the United States, Canada,
Great Britain and Indonesia.
