Math 125 : Description and Prerequisites

We will study the application of mathematics to Business, Finance, Investment, Games, Science, and the Life or Social Sciences. Many practical applications will be examined to illustrate the uses of mathematics. Topics include matrices, solving systems of equations using matrices and technology, linear programming, mathematical modeling, difference equations, probability, and games. This course is intended for students interested in Business, Management, Computer Information Systems, Allied Health, or the the Life or Social Sciences.

The prerequisite is Math 083, an appropriate assessment score, or consent of the instructor. Also, Reading Skill 2 and English Skill 1, or consent of the instructor.
