MULT 109: Software Tools

 ON CAMPUS SUPPORT:

Multimedia Labs are available on the Essex Campus for completing assignments. All required software tools are installed on computers in J-204 and J-228. (Administration building multimedia labs)

 INTERNET ACCESS:

Because of the high bandwidth requirements for the materials for this course, it is recommended that in addition to the Technical Prerequisites for the course you have a high-speed Internet connection: a cable modem or DSL line, for example. Students may use the network computers on any campus to attend chat and to access course materials, if such a connection is not available to you otherwise. Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint Players as well as Macromedia Shockwave Plug-Ins are readily downloaded for viewing online materials. Instructions are included in the course materials.

Students will make use of their college Web sites to submit assignments. Instructions on how to do this will be given at the course orientation.

 TOOLS REQUIRED:

Should you have access to course tools, there is no requirement for attending lab sessions on campus. However, lack of access to tools off campus is not an acceptable reason for not submitting assignments on time. Following is the set of software tools used in the course:

Not all tools are required every class. A student may use the tools on or off campus as needed.
