Hi, welcome to Phys 101. I will be your instructor for this online course. My name is John Zelinsky, and I am a member of the Science Dept on the Essex Campus of CCBC. This basically is an algebra based physics course. This course will satisfy the Biology/Physical Science Lab Requirement of the General Education Requirements for the AA/AS Degree. This course will transfer to any program at any college that requires a non calculus based physics course such as pre-med, physical therapy,etc. The lecture portion, done online, covers the basic topics of Phys 101. The lab portion, done at the Essex Campus, will consists of experiments demonstrating the basic principles learned in the lecture portion of the class. At least 90% of the labs must be done in order to get credit for the course. Online Phys 101 is only offered during the Fall Semester at CCBC.
