Type www.ccbcmd.edu into your computer's URL.   You will see the screen below.

Click on “My CCBC” , a drop down will appear.

Click on “WebCT”.

You will now have the login screen to WebCT.

Type in your Login ID and your password.

Your login ID is the beginning part of your school email address for example:   jsmith@student.ccbcmd.edu , your ID would be jsmith.

Your password is your student ID number that should begin with a 9…

Once you have logged in, it will ask if you want to change your password.   Hit cancel so that your password stays as your student ID number.   If not and you change it, then I will not be able to help you retrieve it if you forget it.

You should then see the following.   Remember that what you are seeing is my login, so there are many classes.   You will only have 1 depending on the courses you are taking and Cyber Tutoring.

Click on the appropriate course.

The ICONS that you will be using are:

Course Content : This is where the quizzes and tests are that you will be taking.   Q1 is quiz 1, T1 is test 1.

Calendar : This contains the start/stop dates for the course and other important dates.   Please make sure you check this regularly.

Communications :   This has the email that you will be using to contact me once you have taken Test A.   Do not use my regular account.   You can also get to the email by clicking on the Email word in the Course Menu section on the left hand side of the screen.

To compose a message, click on Compose.   Click on Browse and select the person you want to send a message to.   My name is at the top.

Syllabus : Contains information about the course and how it works.

Quizzes & Tests :   When you go to take Q1, Q2, etc and T1, T@ etc., click on the appropriate quiz or test.   Then click on begin test.   Please note that the WebCt calls all kinds of testing a quiz.   I am using another class as an example.

When you get into the test as shown below, after you select each answer, you must hit save answer, if not then your selection will not be saved.   It also shows you that in the box on the right hand side of the screen that keeps track of the questions and how you have answered.

At the end of the test, you will need to “submit” the test.   If not, then it will be lost.

You will then have the option to review the test.   This will be the only time to do so.

Then log out of webCt and you are finished.

The WebCt system then emails me your test.   Your grade will appear in your gradebook once I have graded it.
