FREQUENCTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I register for the class?

You must contact the instructor of the course to get permission either by email or in person.  You then take the email or signed registration sheet to Records and Registration to register for the course.  The section is usually ZQ_ (Fall, Summer, and Spring) or Z20 (Winter).

How much is the course?

It will depend on how many of the sessions you need to pass.  The first session is 1 billable hour.  It is 1 billable hour for each of the session you register for.

How do I start the course?

Once you have registered, you will make an appointment with the Testing Center to take Test A online using WebCt.  Once you have taken Test A, you will be emailed using the WebCT system your objective sheet with the topics that you will be studying.

How do I pass the course?

You will need to complete the number of objectives that are listed on your objective sheet.  The number is different for each of the repeat courses.  Each topic has a specific number of objectives that you must get correct that is counted in the total.  That topic number is in parentheses next to the topic/chapter of the course.  The total number of objectives is at the top of the objective sheet.  Once you reach that number, you have passed.

How many tests do I have to take?

The number of tests depends on how many of the objectives you get correct on each test.  If you get the number correct on test A, then you are finished and you do not have to take anymore tests.  If you have to take test B and you get the total number of objectives correct, then you are finished, and so forth.

How many tests can I take?

You have 4 tests (“chances”) to pass once you have taken Test A.  How you use those chances is up to you.  Test B would be the 1st chance, Test C would be the 2nd chance, and so forth.  If you take Test E and still do not get the total number of objectives needed to pass, then you will not be able to take the repeat class again, and will have to register for the regular section if you want to take the course again.

What if I don’t finish after the session time period?

If you do not have the number of objectives needed to pass by the end of the session, then you will have to sign up for the next session to continue.  You do not have to start over again, but you do have to pay another billable hour.
