Motivation... It's an odd thing.

This web site has been around since Windows 98 was new, yet the hobbies page has never really taken shape. (Mostly because I spend more time on my hobbies than on updating my hobbies web page.)

In Europe the question, "What do you do?," means, "What do you do in your free time?" not "What is your job?"

They believe that our leisure activities define us better than our profession.

It's an interesting difference between them and us and I happen to think that they're right.

What do I do?

I'm a very eclectic person.

I build models. (I will be posting pictures of my completed models here soon.)

I watch lots of movies and very little television.

I play guitar and tuba.

I read science ficiton and fantasy novels.

I'm also an avid comic book fan. (Avid not rabid.) I particularly enjoy superhero team books like JLA and Avengers. You have to have strong characters and a strong plot to keep me interested. I've also recently discovered Terry Moore's Strangers in Paradise.

I'm also into sports. I do enjoy watching footbal and, on occasion, hockey, but I'd really rather be playing them. My favorites are racquetball, badminton, disc golf, and Dagorhir.

I know that this page is pretty boring, but I don't have much time right now. I am trying to learn Flash. Come back soon and I'll have something good for ya.
