- Installed, configured and maintained Nortel Networks hubs, routers and switches.
- Supported and maintained college networks with Nortel Network's NetView for AIX, Device Manager, and Speedview.
- Provided technical support and repair of various types of point-to-point mainframe connections and LAN connections.
- Installed, configured, supported and maintained a wide variety of data communications equipment including: hubs, routers, switches, multiplexers, modems, & print servers.
- Installed and terminated various types of networking cable including: coaxial, shielded and unshielded twisted pair, and multimode optical fiber.
- Maintained college networks with a variety of test equipment including: Fluke 680 Enterprise LAN Meter, Fluke One Touch Network Assistant, & Fluke 650 Cable Meter.
- Created multiple network training labs for students, including fully segregated segments allowing only limited Internet traffic through Nortel routers using pattern match filtering.
- Fundamental knowledge of network security policies, workstation security, access policies, and traffic analysis using various packet analyzers.
