Tourists participate in a lot of shopping on their trips to Punta Cana...

One of the most popular places for tourists to go shopping is at the Palma Real Shopping Village. It is found close to two of Punta Cana’s resorts; Paradisus Palma Real Resort and Melia Caribe Tropical. At this mall one can find clothes, jewelry, souvenirs, etc. Three items that tourists shop for when in Punta Cana are Dominican alcohol, cigars, and the gem stone; Amber.

Amber is a gem that is mined a lot in the Dominican Republic. The Amber found in the Dominican Republic has the most diversity of colors in the world. A large number of the Amber used for commercial purposes is found in the Dominican Republic.
