Kathleen Gandy is the Program Coordinator of the Accounting program at
CCBC: Catonsville. She is an Associate Professor and has been teaching
at CCBC since 1993.
Professor Gandy has been teaching in higher education since 1988. She
began her career in South Bend, IN where she taught at Michiana College.
Professor Gandy was born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Columbia, Maryland. She attended the University of Notre Dame where she earned a Bachelor’s degree. She earned her Master’s at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She is currently completing her doctoral studies at the University of Maryland. Her primary area of research is performance accountability and its place and use in postsecondary education policy.
Professor Gandy has two children. She has been a Girl Scout and Boy Scout leader for the past ten years. Her daughter earned the Gold Award and the Congressional Award. Her son is an Eagle Scout. Both of her children achieved their scout rankings on separate trips to Belize, Central America. Professor Gandy is a sports enthusiast and an active member of her community.
