INSTRUCTIONS FOR LOOKING UP STOCKS

  1. Go to http://finance.yahoo.com
  2. Choose Symbol Lookup
  3. Type in company name and choose Look Up
  4. Click on ÒcompanyÓ symbol

YOU SHOULD BE ON THE QUOTES & INFO PAGE

  1. Check P/E ratio. It should be between 15 and 25. If it is, proceed to step 7. If not, go back to step 2 and pick another company.
  2. Choose Historical Prices from left column

YOU SHOULD BE ON THE HISTORICAL PRICES PAGE

  1. Enter the date your instructor gives you in Start Date (for practice, use 7 days ago)
  2. Choose Get Prices
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the data and click Download to spreadsheet

YOU ARE NOW READY TO GENERATE A GRAPH USING CHART WIZARD. GO TO FILE CALLED CHART WIZARD GRAPH IN STUDENT FOLDER.
