My car is a 1999 Firebird Formula, and I love it. I purchased it after my beloved Trans Am
(actually I hated it most of the time since it didn't run) was considered a total loss by the insurance
company after some lady struck me going 70 mph. So I went to carmax and bought my car and also got the
five year, 60,000 mile warranty with the car as well because I know my driving and I know I will probably
break something sooner or later, so it was an extra insurance policy more then anything. The car is equipped so
much better then I could ever possibly wanted my Trans Am to be. It is also faster, gets better gas mileage, and has a
kickin' stereo system (Monsoon 500 watt, 10 speaker stereo). Although it really cannot compare to my trans am's stereo
which was a beast with 1000 watt orion sub amp and 2-800 watt orion HCCA's that power my other speakers. I love my new car,
plus it has T-Tops which is something that I always wanted. Should be fun...keep ya posted!
Timeline:
2/13/02-Car was purchased
2/22/02-First Dyno run completed-303.2 hp...blah
3/9/02-1st quarter mile run-13.7 (Performed with G-Tech Pro)
3/28/02-Order SLP's Loudmouth Exhaust, can't wait till it gets in!
4/14/02-Loudmouth installed, very loud..and it wakes up the neighbors
4/21/02-Whisper Mass Air Flow ends and Whisper Carbon Fiber Lid installed...more hp!
5/1/01-Whisper Cold Air Induction unit purchased and installed.
5/4/01-Did all the free mods (!EGR,!FRA,!TB)
